Custodian MKE

We are looking for a Custodian. Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Custodian will schedule cleaning and maintenance in a timely manner. They will be responsible for minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs as well as research and order supplies within budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Plan and schedule cleaning and maintenance
  2. Ability to meet cleaning schedule with on-time dependability and consistency
  3. Routine Cleaning to include:
    • Collect Garbage
    • Clean bathrooms
    • Clean kitchens – including counters, fridge, microwave, tables, chairs, floors, etc.
    • Replenish restroom & kitchen supplies
    • Use brooms, mops, and vacuums to clean floors
    • Dust window sills, ledges, bookshelves, HVAC vents, blinds, etc.
    • Prepare and clean-up conference rooms as needed
  4. Use a computer to research prices and order supplies within budget
  5. Move and set up office furniture
  6. Preform touch ups and finish painting and repair work
  7. Submit end of shift report of completed tasks to supervisor
  8. Use hand tools and power tools for minor repairs
  9. Make minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs
  10. Lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs
  11. Stand, walk, pull, push, crouch, lift above waist and chest and reach above head
  12. Follow all safety and plant rules
